Hmm, I can see it. Is it supposed to give the impression of a dragon, or you just titled it that?

Rocking the Boat would not be such a problem if everyone in it knew how to swim.......

I guess it has a few things in common with a doodle. I just start, and see where the thing leads me. Sometimes I use other people's sketches or random marks to start. Sometimes I use automatic writing. However, what it does not have in common with a doodle is my understanding of form, my committment to the process, and my ability to control and synthisise complexity. I also have a love of science fiction which I embed into the design.

My general conceptual themes are cybernetics, technophobia and biomechanics. I no interest in concious sexual references because I am not a europian surrealist at heart. I am facinated by the emotional demands of new technology. Today we all have at least one new piece of hardware or software in the in tray. The burden of these learning curves manifest themselves as bewildering complexity. Today it happens so often we each have a place burnt into our minds for this bewilderment. My work is an exploration of that place.

Well, it was not my intention to place it into an environment. This piece was done on all orientations with no directional light source. This is my normal practice, but with this piece I never really felt comfortable with any orientation.
